Pre-mature Decoration

I admit it....I caved under the pressure. I could hold out no longer. So...with great sorrow, I confess that I did the unthinkable.

But, it my own defense, it wasn't my fault. The influence was too strong and I could not resist. The constant barrage of the music....the endless visual cues.....the sheer madness of frenzied consumers....

I crumbled. I stumbled. I fell under the spell of it's pressuring call. I am the latest victim of pre-mature decoration.

Don't worry. It just happens to most people at one time or another, especially once they pass their thirties.....just know that it is a natural occurrence....I mean, how can one avoid thinking of putting the advent calendar up a bit early, especially when Thanksgiving comes so late this year! I went today and looked at led Christmas lights. I found I was a bit disturbed by the blow up creches....plastic inflatable Jesus, Mary and Joseph just doesn't seem right to me.....but I thought about the inflatable Santa helicopter! I'll need to crack out the lights pretty soon too...

Sweet!
I was just thinking of breaking out some decor BUT am holding steadfast for fear of being run out of town by my family.

Just wait until you are near 60 and you will just leave a tree up all year! Seeing my Christmas tree in my den makes me happy...sort of like candy corn (from AZ Mom of Many Hats)..makes you happy.

Funny! I really want to decorate, but I am trying really hard to hold off!
